Exercising More…..

You know how when you go on vacation you end up getting more exercise because you are out doing exciting activities? It could be walking a mountain trail, or kayaking in a river, or walking on a beach. Truth is, when you go on vacation you exercise more and may not even realize it because it is wrapped around activities that you enjoy doing.

Well what I am realizing is that this “Let Go Life” that we are living has me exercising a lot more!! When I owned a house and had it filled with stuff, for some reason I would just come home everyday and watch TV, or some other sedentary act. I had no drive to get out and do anything as far as exercising because the only thing that was available was to go running. I hate running!!! Or walking, and I hate that too. Now that we have “Let Go” of what society would call a normal life I am exercising more because I am at places that make me want to expend energy. For example, yesterday we went out in the kayak. I burned an enormous amount of calories and didn’t even feel like it because I was having a great time. This morning I actually rode my bike! Of course riding my bike next to the beach is much different than through my old neighborhood. I was enjoying the sea breeze and the beautiful sites, and before I knew it I had put 30 minutes in.  We go walking on the beach, and again, much different than in a neighborhood. You get my point, because you can imagine doing this while on vacation. We have just decided to make everyday feel like a vacation. All it took was selling our house and our stuff and buying a 5th wheel RV to bounce around in. Actually right now we are still waiting for our 5th wheel to be delivered, so we are in a rental beach house for 3 months.

Everyday I get up excited to go outside and do something. Today, we will go fishing and likely splash around in the surf.

What we experience everyday is there for the taking. It is actually cheaper that living in a house in a neighborhood. More to come on The Let Go Life….
